FAQs:

A part of me wants to develop healthier relationships but there is a strong part of me that does not want to get better. Can you still help me?

Absolutely. In fact this is a very common experience. Something I often discuss with clients is how to develop and build on the part of you that wants to get better.

My partner/family member has challenges with their relationships but will not come to counselling, so what should I do?

It would still be beneficial for you to come to counselling on your own to get some support and so we can work out some strategies to help you deal with them.

By you committing to counselling and making a change you will often find that your loved one will be motivated to do the same.

I have tried therapy before, but it has not helped me. What can I do?

Book me for a ten-minute free phone consultation. Some people have to try several therapists to meet one they can connect with. Furthermore, my holistic approach and breadth of modalities can help deliver different solutions; for instance, EMDR can be very effective in treating patients when other modalities have failed.

What qualifications and training do you have?

I have a Bachelor of Psychology and a Masters of Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy.
My background is psychotherapy which means I am interested in the relationship between myself and my client as I know from experience that is the key to helping my client to create change in the outside world.

I have worked in private psychiatric hospitals across Sydney and specialised in addiction counselling, couples/family therapy and eating disorders.
